Keto Zucchini Bacon Bites Recipe
I know, I know. I had you at bacon. But indulge me and let me explain why this keto zucchini bacon bites recipe is worthy of your respect and admiration.
Presentation is Everything
I mean, they’re pretty attractive for a food item. The way the bacon swirls around the zucchini is pure gold for your social media presence.
As much as you don’t want to be one of those annoying folks who is posting every last thing they eat, this is pretty special.
Make it to impress your guests at a party. Everyone who did not attend will feel like they missed out in a big way!
You should probably make this before your event so you actually get to try it. Whatever you make for the party will fly off your serving platter before you can grab one for yourself!
Different Forms of Garlic
Garlic is a good tool to have in your kitchen, and it comes in several convenient forms.
You can obviously buy the real thing and chop it up yourself. Nothing quite beats the taste of fresh garlic.
But sometimes you don’t want to mess with that. And that’s OK too. I often buy garlic that has already been minced. It’s super convenient and keeps well.
Then there’s granulated garlic. If you’ve never used it, it’s dehydrated garlic that has been minced and dried. It is a good choice for soups.
Powdered garlic, which you’ll use for this recipe, is also made from dehydrated garlic. This garlic, however, has been ground down to a sand-like consistency.
Granulated garlic has air in it, so powdered garlic results in a more intense flavor. Mixed with chili powder, it makes an excellent coating for these zucchini bacon bites.
Much Ado About Macros
If I had a dollar for every question I got about carb counting and grams of protein and macros, I’d be set for life.
Heck, I could probably provide for you too.
Since that check is apparently still in the mail, I might as well keep doing what I do and help a few people out along the way.
First, when you’re starting on a keto diet, don’t overcomplicate things. I know there is a temptation to do things “right,” but trying to be overly scientific about your food choices might sour you before you really give keto a chance.
Instead, check out my simple keto calculator. Just answer the question and you’ll learn how much fat, carbs, and protein you should be eating.
Simple, and very doable. Good luck!
