Keto Instant Pot Chicken Soup Recipe
As I write this, it hotter than it should be outside. But, I am going to connect with my inner winter hermit and remember all the glorious things about a hot bowl of chicken soup.
It is one of the highest comfort foods anyone can have. It brings warmth to your body and soul while reminding us of those days when we were sick as a child and mom would be brewing up a pot of fragrant broth to help us feel better. Chicken soup is an American staple and thank goodness its simple ingredients make it an excellent option for the Keto diet.
The only problem is, making a big pot of soup can be an endeavor, sometimes taking up a whole afternoon and the entire kitchen. Well, a simple dish should only require simple ingredients and a simple recipe. This Keto Instant Pot chicken soup recipe is all about putting your ingredients together and not worrying. The result is a delicious broth that is sure to warm your whole family – maybe save it for a day that isn’t blistering hot out.
The Beauty of the Instant Pot Soup
“Set it and forget it” may be a bit derivative, but that’s genuinely what it is all about. Being able to throw your ingredients in the pot and allowing everything to blend together and simmer on their own can give you relief for supper time.
Be sure to follow the instructions of your own instant pot. They all work a little bit differently. And, though this is all about letting your ingredients do the work, it is always a good idea to check in on things and make sure it is all working properly.
Make Your Soup Your Own
One of the best things about making any soup is being able to make it your own. When making large batches for many people balanced flavors is usually the key to pleasing everyone. However, when you are making soup for yourself or your family, you can make it to your own preferences.
If you are a garlic lover, absolutely feel free to add as many cloves as you can handle. I enjoy a healthy amount of onion, and I will often double the recommendation. Note: those are both great ingredients to bump up if you are feeding a cold.
Assembling any soup can be an enjoyable experience. You can add a little bit of this, a little bit of that. If there is something that mom used to add that brings back all of those childhood memories, of course, be sure to incorporate it – just be sure it fits with your Keto diet.
