Keto Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Recipe
If life has taught us anything, it’s that good food should be wrapped or smothered in even better food. With that, I bring you this keto bacon wrapped asparagus recipe.
If you have a bit of a bacon weakness too, you may find joy in our keto bacon recipes list.
Growing Asparagus
Asparagus is a really interesting crop. It’s not something to grow if you need instant gratification. The plants can take 2-3 years to get going.
When I first heard that, I wondered why anyone would bother growing it (this was probably before my current love affair with the plant). Well, the reason is that asparagus can remain productive for 20 years!
Talk about a return on investment. If you live in an area hospitable to growing asparagus, I highly recommend it!
Travel through the Midwest during the summer months and you might stumble upon an asparagus festival. I’m not the only one who thinks this veggie rocks, and you will too after you try this keto bacon wrapped asparagus recipe!
Vitamins to Spare
Not only is this green machine delicious, but asparagus is good for you too. Eat a serving and you’ll get an ample supply of Vitamin K and folate.
Vitamin K is a good asset for bone health, and folate makes DNA and genetic material (it’s especially important if you’re pregnant).
If that isn’t enough, asparagus is also packing vitamins A, C, E, and B6, not to mention fiber, iron, calcium, copper, and protein. So why not enhance this nutritious veg and create these indulgent bacon snacks for the whole family?
For more asparagus wrapping scope, you could try prosciutto or pancetta.
