Keto Tamari Chicken Wok Recipe
I love to cook in my wok at home. There is something satisfying about tossing a dish around in a sizzling hot wok. Besides that, it makes dishes a breeze as everything can be cooked in the one pan. So, if you love using your wok as much as I do, then this simple Keto tamari chicken wok recipe will give you inspiration for some new dishes.
For this dish, I wanted to do something a little more straightforward and not overcomplicate the end product. Hopefully, this will give you the chance to put your own spin on the recipe and have fun with cooking.
What is the Difference Between Tamari and Soy Sauce?
On first inspection, tamari and soy sauce are nearly identical. They have the same look, smell, and flavors. Further, they are even made in much of the same process, both being produced from fermented soybeans.
The most significant difference is that soy sauce is exclusively made with the addition of wheat. Tamari is most often sold as the gluten-free alternative. However, that does not mean that some brands will include some wheat in their tamari. So, be sure to check the ingredients listed before using your tamari sauce.
Cooking With That Cumbersome Wok
I did mention the benefits of cooking with a wok earlier. That does not mean that I am naïve to the fact that sometimes they can be a pain in the butt. They are too large to fit in the cupboards, never mind a dishwasher. And, despite their purpose food can often get stuck to the bottom.
The trick to keeping your wok clean and free of leftovers on the bottom is a high heat. Woks are designed to be used with the highest heat your source can offer. So, don’t be shy, turn that stove on high. With consistent stirring, everything should cook cleanly, and the pan should come out needing not much more than a rinse with some soap and water.
Be Sure To Add All Your Favorite Ingredients
The recipe I offer below is the most basic of chicken stir-fry. This is where you can put your chef hat on – if you have one. It is a blank slate for you to add any Keto friendly vegetables you have kicking around in the fridge. Here are a few great options to try in your recipe:
