Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of coconut oil
- 1 yellow onion (110 g), chopped
- 5 garlic cloves (15 g), chopped
- 1 lb (450 g) of ground turkey
- 1 can (400 g) of diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (240 ml) of pumpkin puree
- 1 cup (240 ml) of chicken broth
- 1 Italian sausage (75 g), sliced
- 4 teaspoons (8 g) of chili powder
- 1 teaspoon (2 g) of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) of salt
Instructions
- Place a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Add the coconut oil to the pot and let it heat up.
- Add the onion and garlic. Saute for 5 minutes.
- Add the ground turkey and break it while cooking. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the remaining ingredients and bring the mix to a simmer.
- Simmer for 15 minutes over low heat (lid off).
- Serve with desired salad.
