Description
The flavor of garlic infuses the broth in this delicious slow-cooked chicken dish.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) of olive oil
- 4 chicken thighs (with skin on) (600 g)
- 1 head of garlic
- 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) of chicken broth, warm
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- chives, to garnish
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan and brown the chicken skin-side down until golden and crispy.
- In the meantime, peel all the cloves from one head of garlic. Halve each one and add them to a crockpot then pour in the warm chicken broth. Once the chicken pieces have caramelized on the skin side, use tongs to remove them from the pan to the crockpot, skin-side up. Cook for 3 hours on high.
- Remove the chicken and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Garnish with chives. The softened cloves can be served alongside if desired.
