Ingredients
- ¼ cup (60 ml) of olive oil
- 2 lbs (900 g) of lean beef, cubed
- 1 onion (110 g), peeled
- 5 garlic cloves (15 g), peeled
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of tomato paste
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) of salt
Instructions
- Take a stew pot and place it over medium heat.
- Add the olive oil and let it heat up.
- Add the beef and cook until brown.
- Add the remaining ingredients and cover them with water.
- Bring the whole mix to a boil.
- Lower the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1-2 hours until the beef is cooked thoroughly.
- Serve hot!
