Description
Try this keto-friendly tomato sauce on all your favorite Italian dishes.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
- 1/4 onion, peeled and finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tablespoons (30 g) tomato paste
- 1 14-oz (400 g) can diced tomatoes (or use 1 lb of fresh tomatoes, seeds removed and diced)
- 1 Tablespoon (3 g) Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Stevia, to taste
Instructions
- Add the olive oil to a frying pan and sauté the onion and garlic until tender. Then add in the tomato paste and diced tomatoes and warm for a few minutes.
- Season with the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and stevia, to taste.
- For a chunky Keto tomato sauce, simply let cool and store in airtight jars.
- For a smoother Keto tomato sauce, blend and then store in airtight jars.
