Giving up fruits. Fruits are delicious!
And sometimes you just want a smoothie for breakfast. They’re so easy to make, and perfect if you’re on the go. Plus they’re tasty, bursting with flavour, and so good for you.
But most smoothies use juice or bananas, both of which are high carb and will knock you out of ketosis.
So it seems like smoothies on keto are a no-no.
However…we’ve managed to find several low-carb, keto friendly smoothie recipes. So you can get your smoothie fix and keep burning fat for energy!
As always, different people can take different amounts of carbs in their ketogenic diet, so if you find that you need to take in fewer carbs, then skip the smoothie recipes with cherries and berries (or use less of those fruits in those smoothie recipes).
