Description

Asian flavors help to accentuate the richness of beef liver.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (454 g) beef liver, whole

For the dip:

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) tamari sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Place the beef liver into a pot covered with water and bring to a boil.  Boil for 2-3 minutes and then pour the water with the scum out.  Refill with fresh water and boil for 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, make the dip by mixing together all the dip ingredients.
  3. Let the beef liver cool, then slice it thinly and enjoy with the dip.
