Description
A cabbage soup that suits your diet
Ingredients
- 1 red cabbage, sliced
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 8 cups (2 l) of bone broth (or chicken or beef broth)
- 4 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) avocado oil, to cook with
- 1/4 cup bacon bits (optional)
Instructions
- Add avocado oil to a large pot and then saute the cabbage, onions, celery, and bell peppers in the avocado oil for 3 minutes.
- Pour in the broth and add in the diced tomatoes.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for 20 minutes until the cabbage is cooked.
- Top with some bacon bits (optional) or add in some leftover shredded beef or chicken for a hearty stew.
