How To Make People Line Up For Your Keto Seafood Meals (+ What You Didn’t Know About Oysters!)

We’ve got great news for all you seafood lovers out there; you can enjoy our huge collection of delish Keto seafood recipes, and these are all available for you, for free.

Depending on where you live, seafood can be a great choice for your Ketogenic diet. If fresh seafood is easily available for you, you’re in for a feast!

Don’t worry if you live far from the coast; you can still enjoy canned seafood. But watch out - there are a couple of things you probably didn’t know!

Is All Seafood Keto? 

Basically, yes. Fish and seafood in general is perfect for a Keto diet, including plenty of protein, good fats, vitamins and minerals. But there are a few exceptions you should be aware of.

  1. Oysters and mussels have a slightly higher carb count and therefore should be consumed in moderation, on a Ketogenic diet.

  2. Check the labels carefully when buying canned seafood - some may contain more carbs than you were aware of (especially if they have added sugar or tomato sauce).

  3. Imitation crab meat has a high carb count! You may want to avoid it, and use the real thing instead if it’s available for you.

Keto Seafood Recipes Are Easy To Prepare 

No-one wants to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen after a long day at work! I know I want to have my meal ready as fast as possible, and that’s one of the reasons I like cooking seafood.

For example, these recipes can be prepared in as little as 15 minutes:

  • Pan-Fried Hake - Super tasty and easy! Pair this with a simple salad for a quick weekday lunch.

Bonus Tip! One of my personal favorites for a quick seafood lunch is a small tin of smoked baby clams, served with some minced garlic and onion, avocado slices and a squeeze of lemon juice. It’s a 5-minute meal!
