This funny phrase became super popular in the '80's as a catchphrase for Wendy's.  But where they intended to draw people in to wolf-down nutrient deficient, salt laden patties, I'm using it in context of how we sometimes feel when we tried to cook ground beef and somehow the flavor just zapped or fell flat...and we don't know why…

What if there were just a few easy tricks to keep up our sleeves, that would allow us to be the Keto kings and queens of the ground beef world?

So, check out these tips before you start cooking ground beef…

1. Start With Keto Cooking Oil, Egg, or Nut Butter  

To ensure you seal up the natural juices of your meat, add some fats into your ground beef before cooking it.

You can mix some some Keto oil or a whisked directly into the meat if you’re making it into hamburger patties or meatballs.

Or you can even add some nut butter to the ground beef to create a nutty flavor profile instead.

And of course, you can also cook the ground beef in delicious fats like coconut oil or ghee.

2.  Beef It Up With Some Low Carb Vegetables 

A fantastic way to stretch your meat even with limited funds and also create a lower calorie dish is to "beef up" your dishes with low carb veggies.

This trick works especially well when you’re creating one-pot dishes like chilis or sautes.  Just chop the vegetables into small pieces and add to the ground beef.

3.  Season With More Than Just Salt and Pepper  

While salt and pepper can provide lots of flavor by themselves, exploring additional spices and Keto condiments can create exciting dishes.

Fresh herbs (like parsley, basil, cilantro) and spices (like chili peppers and tomatoes) are also great additions.
