How To Cook Beef - 3 Easy Techniques To Enhance Your Keto Meals
Most of us don't like to experiment with our cooking. If you know how to make steaks, you just keep firing up the grill and grilling steaks. If you enjoyed burgers before, then you probably just eat burgers without the bun on a Keto diet.
That's why I want to quickly introduce you to 3 new easy ways to cook beef. Hopefully this will expand your Keto beef recipes collection dramatically!
1. Stir-Fry Thin Slices Of Beef For Extreme Flavor
While stir-fries are traditionally associated with Asian cuisine, there's no good reason why the same techniques can't be used to create your own delicious Keto beef dishes. Just skip the Asian sauces to create new and unique Keto beef recipes!
STEP 1:
Simply slice the beef thin so that they can cook faster and then drop into hot cooking fat. Just make sure you place the pan on high heat and be careful you don't get splattered with hot oil.
STEP 2:
Then add in your favorite low carb vegetables (like zucchini or cauliflower or asparagus) and stir-fry until slightly tender.
STEP 3:
Lastly, add in your Keto spices or sauces. For a more traditional Asian Flavor, add in gluten-free tamari sauce with some minced garlic and ginger. For more unique flavors, try adding taco mix or even just sea salt with some fresh chopped parsley.
QUICK TIP:
To make it easier to slice the beef thinly, try freezing the beef for 30 minutes. This firms up the beef making it easier to slice.
2. Use Grass-Fed Ground Beef To Save Time and Money
Ground beef is one of my secret Keto weapons. I keep individually packaged portions of it in my freezer at all times!
Why? Ground beef is just so versatile. It's nutritious, cheap, and cooks fast.
For optimal Ketogenic nutrition, buy grass-fed ground beef. But if you have trouble finding grass-fed beef or can't afford it, then conventional beef works too.
Here are some great uses for ground beef on a Ketogenic diet:
- Keto Meatballs (just omit the flour from traditional recipes)
- Keto Burgers (skip the bun and enjoy with some guacamole or a fried egg)
- Keto Meatloaves (you can make a large Keto meatloaf with a traditional bread tin or make mini meatloaves using a muffin pan)
- Keto Tacos (yep, they're delicious even without the tortilla!)
- Keto Stuffed Peppers
- Keto Chilis (get rid of the beans and reduce the tomato paste)
- Various Meat Pies (e.g., lasagna, meat quiches, cottage pies)
3. Become a Crockpot Fiend!
If you don't have a slow cooker or crockpot yet, then please get one! These devices cost around $40 and will save you so much time and energy.
You can use a crockpot to make so many mouth-watering Keto beef recipes. You can just dump in your low carb ingredients and go to sleep or go to work. Then when you come back, you'll be greeted with the delicious aromas of a ready-made Ketogenic meal.
