How to Cook the Perfect Bacon
Follow these simple steps to get crispy, tender and evenly-browned bacon slices. With no black burned bits!
Step 1: Place your bacon in a cold pan (don’t crowd the strips!).
Then, follow our secret tip for the perfect bacon...
Once your bacon is in the pan, add a little water (just enough to coat the bottom of the pan).
Increase the heat to medium-high until the water has evaporated, then lower it to medium again.
The water will render the fat, prevent splattering and lead to much more tender bacon.
Step 2: As soon as the bacon starts to brown and the edges begin to curl, use tongs to flip the pieces over so they cook evenly. Keep flipping your bacon at intervals as it cooks.
Step 3: Once your bacon is done, remove it from the pan. How long this will take depends on how crispy you like your bacon. Remember, residual heat means your bacon will carry on cooking for a short period after you remove it from the pan.
Step 4: Drain your bacon on paper towels to remove some of the grease. And save the bacon grease you find in the pan for other Keto recipes.
