Keto Hamburger Soup
There is nothing quite like those little mom and pop diners that pour their hearts into homemade soups every day. The ‘soup of the day’ is a great tradition and I know plenty of friends that enjoy returning to their regular restaurants just to enjoy whatever wonderful soup the chef has prepared. There are many fan favorites, but who wouldn’t get excited about seeing hamburger soup written in chalk on the sandwich board?
Thankfully, this delicious soup doesn’t have to be full of carbs and heavy cream. This Keto hamburger soup is a light version that offers all of the same highlights that an unhealthier version would. This is a recipe worth doubling or tripling so that you can keep stashes of it in your freezer.
As Simple as Soups Can Come
Other hamburger soups often show up in the form of a thick chowder. The problem is there are so many ingredients thrown in there you never know what you’re eating. And, they get that soup so thick by ways of using a roux, which is basically a lot of fat and a lot of white flour.
This hamburger soup takes things back to the basics. Some hearty vegetables, some savory bone broth, and of course, ground beef. Assembling this recipe will give you the basics for many soups. By altering the proteins, vegetables and seasonings, you can create a plethora of broth-based soups.
A Soup To Call Your Own
Soups are one of the most enjoyable meals to make in the kitchen. The simplicity of having everything in one pot is always a bonus. But, the tampering of the taste to make it exactly how you like it is where the love of cooking stems from. Sure, you can follow this recipe and make it taste exactly as we did. But, where is the fun in that?
Don’t like zucchini? By all means, take it out. Are you a garlic lover? Feel free to throw in as much as you want. Add herbs and spices that you know you love, like a grandma that puts marjoram in everything. Cooking is about tastes and flavors, make it the way that you like it, and take all the credit when everybody loves it.
