Keto Coffee Fat Bombs Recipe
I love the benefits of keto, but sometimes I still find myself running on empty. This keto coffee fat bombs recipe is the perfect remedy for waning energy levels.
What are Fat Bombs?
While I go into the details more fully in this article, fat bombs are snacks that are high in fat (obviously), but low in carbs.
Fat is important on keto. If you don’t eat enough fat, you’re not going to be satisfied after meals and stay full until it’s time to eat again.
While non-starchy vegetables are a given, and protein is usually easily accessed, fat is often the missing piece of the puzzle for many people on a ketogenic diet.
It’s important to get enough fat and the right kinds of fat – like the coconut oil and ghee used in this fat bomb recipe.
A Fat Bomb to Buzz About
There are many different kinds of fat bombs, so it can be fun to cook up different flavors.
The distinguishing characteristic of this particular bomb is the coffee. The coffee fat bomb has an added benefit that many recipes do not.
The caffeine in coffee fat bombs works alongside the fat to give you that added jolt to your energy.
Of course you can always go for decaf if you’re into that, or if you have health problems that could be exacerbated by caffeine.
As for the rest of us…we will be going full throttle.
Eat Fat Bombs in Moderation
Sorry, I have to be a buzz kill for a minute. Sometimes when things are bite-sized, there is a natural human tendency to eat more of them.
For many people, they wouldn’t eat a giant block of chocolate in one go. They might break off a small piece to enjoy and slowly chip away at it over time.
But with bite-sized or miniature chocolates, well, who can stop at one?
You’re going to have to fight the psychological urge and ingrained habit when you make these little fat bombs.
Thankfully, because there is so much fat in them, they’re going to be very rich, and you should feel quite satisfied with just one.
But in case your mind is pushing you to go for round two or three, just take a hard pause. Drink some water, and do something else.
Chances are you’ll realize you don’t need the extra after all.
